Mercury has been open to the public lifestyle for over 20 years and considers himself a student of BDSM/Leather/Fetish/Kink cultures. Residing in Nashville, Tennessee, he has enjoyed many opportunities to sample regional customs in his national and international travels, and serves as an unofficial ambassador of "polite Southern society" to those elsewhere. Mercury has also been afforded the opportunity travel throughout the Southeast as a regional presenter, having facilitated discussions for 11 different groups in 6 states usually on topics involving the Dominant/submissive lifestyle that he enjoys so much and feels are often neglected.

Since 2004, Mercury has served the local community as the Executive Director of CPI -- the 501(c)(7) non-profit corporation whose sole mission is "The Mark" -- Nashville´s premiere education/social/play facility and night gallery for those within the Middle Tennessee BDSM community and their friends elsewhere (www.TheMarkByCPI.com). Of late, Mercury has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the NCSF (www.NCSFreedom.org) and successfully lead the effort to bring LLC XVI to Nashville in 2012 (www.LeatherLeadership.org).
